October 16 reporting described Sazmining offering immersion-cooled Bitcoin hashboards from Block affiliate Proto. Customers own the equipment while Sazmining operates it at a US site.
At verification, the official product page specified about 204 TH/s per board and approximately 15 J/TH. TH/s denotes a trillion hashes per second; J/TH measures energy used per terahash.

Buying hardware is different from buying BTC
Buying BTC establishes a coin quantity at the time of purchase. Mining equipment is an asset intended to produce coins through future operation. Output and expenses can change, so its sticker price is not directly equivalent to buying the same dollar amount of Bitcoin.
Hosting places equipment in a provider’s facility instead of the customer’s home. That can reduce the need to handle noise or cooling personally, while adding reliance on operating, maintenance and settlement terms. Ownership of a board and a guaranteed schedule of coin receipts are different things.
The Bitcoin mining guide explains pooled work and shared rewards. Customer settlement can depend on pool and service arrangements as well as network conditions. A hashrate specification alone cannot establish a fixed daily BTC payment.
Installments are separate from service charges
The hardware price is $1,397 down plus $155 monthly for 18 months, totaling $4,187. A $153 monthly service charge and an initial prepaid service charge are listed separately. Actual checkout terms and taxes need confirmation.
Zero-interest financing refers to the hardware payment arrangement. It does not make power or operation free. Calculating mining costs from the equipment price alone omits recurring expenses.
Separate the hardware price from 18-month spending
Adding service expenses changes the comparison. Assuming 18 payments of $153, services total $2,754; adding hardware produces $6,941. The initial $153 prepayment must be checked against the schedule to establish whether it covers one of those months or is additional. Do not count it twice without confirming the contract.
| Component | Calculation using displayed terms |
|---|---|
| Hardware | $1,397 + $155 × 18 = $4,187 |
| Assumed 18 service payments | $153 × 18 = $2,754 |
| Combined amounts above | $6,941 |

Multiplying 204 TH/s by 15 J/TH also implies approximately 3,060 W, or 3.06 kW. Constant operation for 24 hours would use about 73.44 kWh. This is arithmetic from the board specification, not measured total facility consumption including cooling. The contract determines what the service charge includes.
Ownership is not a production guarantee
Bitcoin output still depends on difficulty, uptime and other operating factors. The provider explicitly states that returns are not guaranteed.
Contract terms worth establishing include the operating start date, repairs, termination and equipment retrieval. An efficiency specification in a product announcement cannot be converted into a guaranteed personal return.
Match installment timing with actual mining commencement. Assuming production begins on the first payment date can omit shipping, installation and activation delays. Compare expenses and output over the same operating interval.
End-of-service options affect total economics too: retrieval, transport charges and remaining installments need contractual confirmation. This article does not establish a particular cancellation or free-return provision for the product.
A comparison with direct BTC purchases should also match dated cash flows. Hardware combines an upfront payment with later costs; treating the entire total as spent on day one changes the comparison. Keeping timing consistent separates mining performance from Bitcoin price changes.
Break-even needs variables the headline cannot supply
Covering recurring services alone requires the value of BTC actually received to exceed those charges. Recovering the initial investment also involves equipment cost and applicable repairs, taxes or other expenses. Future BTC prices, difficulty and uptime are needed before estimating a payback period.
Record production, actual BTC payouts, service invoices and remaining hardware value separately. That helps distinguish gains from a higher Bitcoin price from improvements in operating performance. The news establishes a route to particular mining equipment, not a promised return. Specifications, ownership and contractual costs all belong in the assessment.
